public art
Using tinted cement, Nick has worked on creative projects combining art and construction in the private and public sector for the past 12 years. He has been influenced by ancient symbols, abstract patterns, petroglyphs and sacred geometry. In 2008 he completed his largest public project to date. Commissioned by the Tri-Cities Cancer Center in Kennewick Washington, he created 13 pre-cast 4' x 4' cement panels that were inset into a privacy wall for the patients. His primary intention was to give patients healing images to contemplate during their treatment. Nick's mission in public art is to create works that give something back to people and uplift their spirits through beauty.
We didn't want anything literal-we wanted it to be timeless. We had a lot of problems finding someone who could do this...then we found Nick and he took us to an entirely new level.
